Diyarbakır City Centre Transfer: From One Side of Town to the Other
A day in Diyarbakır often means several stops. Hotel to hospital in the morning, the old city at lunchtime, then the bus station or the airport in the evening. The city centre branch of ECRİN VIP is set up for days like that. We collect you from any address in the city and take you wherever you need to go, and our intercity trips and day tours start from here as well. This page explains how our in-town service works, which places it covers and when to leave for the airport on your way home.
Where Does a Diyarbakır City Transfer Go?
In short, anywhere in the city a car can reach. The most frequent requests are:
- Hotels: from boutique hotels inside the walls to the chain hotels of Kayapınar and Yenişehir. See Diyarbakır hotel transfer.
- Hospitals: the Dicle University Faculty of Medicine hospitals, Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital in Kayapınar, and Memorial Diyarbakır.
- Diyarbakır bus station: in Kayapınar, for passengers arriving or leaving by coach.
- Diyarbakır railway station: for the Güney Kurtalan Express.
- The old city: around Dağkapı, Urfakapı, Mardinkapı and Yenikapı, the Great Mosque, Hasan Pasha Han and the Four-Legged Minaret.
- Business addresses: the Ofis quarter, the governorate and the office centres of Yenişehir, plus the Organised Industrial Zone about 29 km out.
When booking, enter the pickup and drop-off addresses, the time and the number of passengers. Prices are per vehicle with fuel and parking included, and you pay during the ride.
Planning a Day Between Hotel, Hospital and Station
A one-way ride is usually enough. If you have several stops in one day, though, you can keep a car and driver by the hour or by the day instead of booking each leg separately. That works well for families waiting between an appointment and test results, or for business visitors with a string of meetings. See Diyarbakır chauffeured car hire for details.
When should I leave for a hospital appointment?
Distances in town are short, but hospital areas get busy in the morning. Allow time for registration and queues and aim to arrive a little before your appointment; we will agree the pickup time with you. For passengers with a companion, a wheelchair or a walking frame, we choose a vehicle that is easy to board. More on our Diyarbakır hospital transfer page.
Can a Car Get Inside the Old City Walls?
We hear this question a lot. The main streets inside the walls are open to cars, but many side lanes are very narrow and some are pedestrian only, so a car cannot always pull up at the door of every hotel or mansion house. Put the name of your accommodation in the booking notes and we will pick the nearest spot where the car can stop comfortably, often near one of the gates or a main street. Your driver will help with your bags. For exploring the old city itself, walking is best, and most of our guests ride to a gate and continue on foot.
Diyarbakır Intercity Transfers Start in the City Centre
The city centre branch is also where journeys to neighbouring provinces begin. We collect you at your hotel or address and drive straight to your destination. Approximate distances: Mardin 110 km, Batman 110 km, Hasankeyf 130 km, Midyat 155 km, Elazığ 160 km, Şanlıurfa 165 km, Göbeklitepe 180 km and the Habur border gate 290 km. We also go to Bingöl, Siirt, Adıyaman, Malatya, Bitlis, Tatvan, Cizre, Şırnak, Gaziantep and Van. All of these are on our Diyarbakır intercity transfer page, and border crossings are covered under Diyarbakır border gate transfer.
Diyarbakır Day Tours from the City Centre
We run day trips from the centre, with the car and driver working to your own plan; we do not sell guided tour packages. A popular half day follows the walls past the Keçi Tower, the Ulu Beden Tower and the Hevsel Gardens, then down to the Ten-Eyed Bridge. Close by are Zerzevan Castle near Çınar, the castle at Eğil above the Dicle reservoir, Çayönü near Ergani, the Malabadi Bridge at Silvan and Birkleyn near Lice. For a longer day, try the Mardin, Midyat and Hasankeyf circuit or the road to Şanlıurfa and Göbeklitepe. See Diyarbakır tour transfer.
When Should I Leave for Diyarbakır Airport?
For return transfers we count back from your departure time:
- Domestic flights: be at the airport at least 2 hours before departure.
- International flights: be at the airport at least 3 hours before departure.
- Driving time: the airport is about 7 km from the centre, 15 to 20 minutes; it is similar from Kayapınar and Yenişehir, and we leave some margin at busy times.
For a domestic flight leaving at 14:00, for example, we would usually collect you from your hotel around 11:30. Coming back from a district or another city, we bring the pickup forward to suit the distance. Just enter your flight time and we will suggest the pickup. The airport side is covered on our Diyarbakır Airport transfer page.
Companies, Groups and Events
The city centre branch also handles corporate and group work: a Diyarbakır corporate staff shuttle for regular staff transport, Diyarbakır group transfer for larger parties, congress and event transfers and wedding transfers. For official and business guests there is our Diyarbakır VIP transfer with the Mercedes Vito Business.
Transfer Vehicles and Licences
- Private taxi / saloon: 1–2 passengers.
- Mercedes Vito: 3–7 passengers.
- Mercedes Vito Business: up to 6 passengers, VIP layout.
- Mercedes Sprinter: 8–13 passengers; bigger groups use more than one vehicle.
All vehicles are insured. ECRİN VIP is TÜRSAB-registered and holds a D2 licence. Bookings and support are open 24/7, and cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Diyarbakır City Centre Transfer FAQ
Can I book a short transfer within Diyarbakır?
Yes. Hotel to hospital, bus station to the old city, railway station to hotel: short trips are fine. The per-vehicle price is confirmed at booking.
Can the car reach my hotel inside the old city?
Not always, as some lanes are narrow or pedestrian only. Add your hotel name to the booking notes and we will agree the nearest convenient meeting point in advance.
How early should I get to the airport?
We recommend 2 hours before domestic and 3 hours before international departures. The drive from the centre takes 15 to 20 minutes, and we plan the pickup around that.
Can an intercity trip start from my hotel?
Yes. We collect you at your hotel or address and drive directly to Mardin, Batman, Midyat, Hasankeyf, Şanlıurfa, Elazığ or any other province.
Can I keep the car for the whole day?
Yes. For hospital visits, meetings or sightseeing, you can book a car and driver by the hour or by the day and set the plan yourself.
